“Our operations in Grenaa set the standard for excellence,” said Søren Rose-Hansen. “We’re proud to be delivering world-class manufacturing that strengthens Denmark’s defense partnerships, supports our allies, and creates hundreds of skilled jobs across the country.”
The Grenaa site forms a central part of Denmark’s industrial participation in the F-35 programme, a key element of the government’s 2016 fighter acquisition strategy. Denmark’s engagement in the multinational project extends beyond aircraft procurement, encompassing long-term commitments to allied cooperation and defence-industrial collaboration.
Terma’s operations in Grenaa reflect this national mandate through the manufacture of key composite and metal components used across the global F-35 fleet. The facility has become a vital link in allied supply chains and a cornerstone of Denmark’s sovereign manufacturing capabilities.
During his visit, Minister Bødskov met employees and apprentices, highlighting the importance of regional employment, skilled labour, and green innovation in ensuring Denmark’s future competitiveness. With more than 475 employees and continued investment in automation and digitalisation, Terma Aerostructures is positioning Denmark as a trusted, high-technology partner in the global defence and aerospace sector.
