The move aligns with the European Union’s €800 billion defence investment under the ReArm Europe initiative. By integrating Aerialtronics’ advanced UAV solutions with its existing aerospace systems, Destinus aims to strengthen its position in both dual-use industries and the European military market.
Aerialtronics is known for its development of drone solutions that incorporate advanced sensor payloads and AI-based analytics. These technologies transform raw data into actionable intelligence, enabling improved surveillance, security, and commercial applications.
As part of the acquisition, Destinus has secured Aerialtronics’ intellectual property portfolio, proprietary technologies, and skilled personnel. This strengthens its capabilities in next-generation aerospace solutions, supporting Europe’s increasing investment in security and defence.
This is Destinus’ second major acquisition in the Netherlands, reinforcing its commitment to the country as a centre for aerospace innovation. The integration of Aerialtronics’ expertise will enhance Destinus’ capabilities in surveillance, inspection, and security applications for a global client base.
CEO Mikhail Kokorich highlighted the strategic value of the acquisition, noting that proximity to key European markets and access to Dutch aerospace and AI talent will drive further innovation. He also reaffirmed Destinus’ commitment to customer-focused growth and regional expansion.
The acquisition follows Aerialtronics’ bankruptcy proceedings and was completed in compliance with Dutch insolvency laws. Destinus acquired the company’s technology assets and intellectual property, ensuring continuity in operations without assuming liabilities from the former legal entity.
With Aerialtronics’ team joining Destinus, the company is set to accelerate advancements in UAV technology. This move aligns with Destinus’ broader mission to develop autonomous flight systems across the speed spectrum, reinforcing its role in the evolving defence and security landscape.
