CICADA is available in two versions, tailored for different operational needs. The non-lethal variant neutralises drones using a catch net, while the lethal version is equipped with a fragmentation warhead, offering a more direct countermeasure.
As part of the modular Sky Sphere system, CICADA integrates into a sensor-to-shooter chain, allowing flexibility in its configuration. Customers can customise the system using either Diehl Defence components or technology from partner companies, ensuring adaptability to specific defence requirements.
Diehl Defence is currently in talks with potential customers regarding integration projects, with plans to launch the system on the market by 2026. At Enforce Tac 2025, a CICADA model is on display at the Diehl Defence booth and will also be showcased on the “Enforce Tac TV” industry platform.
Beyond Sky Sphere, Diehl Defence is exhibiting a wide range of ammunition and protection systems, including the Unmanned Ground Vehicle (UGV) “Ziesel”. The company is demonstrating a logistics version of Ziesel at the Enforce Tac Village, while a MedEvac variant is featured at the booth of Meier Medizintechnik, Diehl Defence’s partner in medical evacuation solutions.
As a leading provider of air defence, guided missiles, and protection systems, Diehl Defence has been expanding its presence at Enforce Tac in recent years. The company continues to develop innovative defence solutions, ensuring effective protection against emerging aerial and ground-based threats.
