Dronebuster 4-EU: DZYNE Technologies launches new European-focused counter-drone system

By Defence Industry Europe

DZYNE Technologies, a leader in autonomous defence systems, has announced the release of the Dronebuster 4-EU, an upgraded version of its widely-used handheld counter-drone device. Specifically designed to operate within European short-range device (SRD) frequency bands, the new model meets growing regional demands for adaptable and compliant counter-drone solutions.

The Dronebuster 4-EU allows users to jam unwanted drones across a variety of EU-specific frequencies and features an optional Position, Navigation, and Timing (PNT) attack mode to disrupt satellite-controlled drones operating via GPS, Galileo, GLONASS, or BeiDou systems. It also offers both fixed site and wearable drone detection and visualisation options, enhancing operational flexibility.

“The versatility of Dronebuster 4-EU empowers security personnel across sectors to effectively counteract unauthorised drones,” stated George Schwartz, EVP of Products at DZYNE Technologies. “Our commitment to innovation ensures that we continue to meet the diverse and evolving needs of our global customers.”

DZYNE’s international reputation has been strengthened by a recent multi-million-dollar contract for Dronebuster, awarded by an undisclosed allied customer. This latest achievement underscores the global relevance and proven operational value of the system.

“The proliferation of drones has introduced complex security challenges globally,” said Matthew McCue, CEO of DZYNE Technologies. “The Dronebuster 4-EU provides security teams and infrastructure operators with adaptable, region-specific protection across diverse environments.”

Responding to increased demand, DZYNE has significantly expanded production and staffing across its engineering, production, and business development teams at its Portland, Oregon facility. The company is enhancing manufacturing capacity to ensure prompt delivery of the Dronebuster 4-EU to a growing global clientele.

With over 2,200 Dronebuster units sold worldwide, including more than 1,000 deployed with U.S. Armed Forces, DZYNE’s systems have gained official recognition as a Program of Record by the U.S. Department of Defense. The company’s broader Counter-Unmanned Aircraft Systems (C-UAS) suite—including Sawtooth, ASP, and the newly introduced Dronebuster-FS—is now operational in over 50 countries.

The development of the Dronebuster® 4-EU was directly inspired by the success of these systems, offering enhanced wearability, flexible deployment configurations, and integrated detection capabilities tailored for European civil, military, and infrastructure users. Key applications include protecting critical infrastructure, securing stadiums and public events, defending sensitive facilities, enhancing airport safety, ensuring maritime security, and strengthening border surveillance.

Available in fixed site, mobile, and handheld configurations, the Dronebuster® 4-EU can be used individually or as part of a networked, layered defence solution. Equipped with a Detect, Track, Identify, and Mitigate (DTIM) wearable solution, a single operator can detect drones up to 7km away and neutralise threats at distances of 1.5km or more.
