The agreement grants EDGE and SIATT ownership of the launch tube and combat head of the MANSUP missile, Brazil’s indigenous anti-ship missile system. It also outlines terms for production, commercialisation and royalties covering both the MANSUP and its extended-range variant, MANSUP-ER.
Rodrigo Torres, Chief Financial Officer of EDGE Group, stated: “EDGE is confident that this milestone strengthens our commitment to advancing defence capabilities. Partnering with the Brazilian Navy and leveraging cutting-edge technologies such as MANSUP-ER, we can redefine strategic and operational readiness, offering more precise, efficient, and secure solutions to meet the challenges of the modern world.”
The agreement represents a significant advancement in EDGE’s partnership with SIATT and the Brazilian Navy following EDGE’s acquisition of SIATT. Since then, the group has expanded manufacturing operations and secured two major contracts to supply both MANSUP and MANSUP-ER to the Brazilian Navy and the UAE Ministry of Defence.
The MANSUP-ER, a surface-to-surface missile with a range of 200 kilometres, features advanced sea-skimming capability, inertial navigation and active radar homing. The missile is currently undergoing intensive trials with the Brazilian Navy and is scheduled to be deployed on Tamandaré-class frigates by the end of 2025.
In parallel, EDGE has signed a $300 million agreement with the UAE Armed Forces for MANSUP systems. The group is also engaged in high-level talks with prospective buyers in Africa, Asia and Latin America as international interest in the missile continues to grow.
