The Rattler XR resolves compatibility issues experienced during multinational operations and exercises. It features advanced capabilities such as high laser output with low beam divergence, integrated laser see-spot technology, and a spillover alarm to prevent target misses that could compromise mission success.
The system’s open communication architecture ensures seamless interoperability with other military technologies. This includes integration with thermal imaging devices and other sensors, enabling effective reconnaissance and target designation in both day and night conditions.
Elbit Systems Deutschland offers the Rattler XR as part of the TRIDENT system, a modular solution for expanded functionality. TRIDENT combines the Rattler XR with the AION-C and HattoriX systems, providing Joint Tactical Attack Controllers (JTACs) with enhanced optronics and integrated data communication capabilities.
Other NATO forces have also selected the Rattler XR as a next-generation replacement system for their equipment. This underscores the system’s growing recognition as a cutting-edge solution for laser target designation in allied militaries.
