Swedish technology company Expando has announced a strategic agreement with a major Nordic defence company to deliver its rugged Expando HALF19 server systems. The partnership highlights Expando’s commitment to providing tailored, high-performance solutions designed to meet the rigorous demands of defence operations.

The agreement follows a collaborative development process that involved close consultation with the customer, from initial needs analysis through to final delivery plans. Expando engaged manufacturing partners and the customer’s workgroup to ensure the chosen solution addressed specific operational requirements.

The HALF19 servers are engineered for use in harsh environments and critical defence applications, offering robust data processing capabilities, high storage capacity, and seamless integration with complex systems. These features ensure reliable performance in demanding field conditions, making them ideal for defence agencies and companies.

“We are proud of our collaborative approach, which includes close involvement with our customers at every stage of the project,” said Otto Johnson, CEO of Expando. “We are honoured to support defence objectives with our hardware, and we look forward to nurturing a productive and long-term relationship with this customer. Our team is committed to providing the resilient infrastructure and exceptional service required for such vital applications.”

The agreement marks a significant milestone for Expando, solidifying its role as a trusted partner in the defence sector. By delivering modified solutions and mitigating delivery risks, Expando continues to position itself as a key player in providing critical infrastructure for defence.

The delivery of the HALF19 servers is scheduled for the first half of 2025, paving the way for further collaboration and strengthening the ties between Expando and the Nordic defence industry.
