Finland joins the NSPA Night Vision Opto-electronics Support Partnership

Retroactively from 1 January 2023, Finland became the 9th Nation to participate to the Night Vision Opto-electronics (NVO) Support Partnership (SP) as an Associate State. The partnership now numbers nine participants, including Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Greece, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Netherlands and Norway.

Retroactively from 1 January 2023, Finland became the 9th Nation to participate to the Night Vision Opto-electronics (NVO) Support Partnership (SP) as an Associate State. The partnership now numbers nine participants, including Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Greece, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Netherlands and Norway.




The NSPA Air and Land Combat System Programme’s NVO SP was established to provide joint logistics support services for Night Vision Optical and Electro-Optical. The NVO SP has experienced a significant growth over the past couple of years, doubling the number of participating nations.

Finland had shown interest in the NVO SP services for many years and had already benefited from non-SP support for the acquisition of NVO equipment. Besides the benefits this Support Partnership will provide to the Finnish Armed Forces, Finland’s participation opens a door for cooperation with local NVO industry for the provision of support services to all the Partnership members.
