The prototype missile was fitted with a booster and a telemetry system to gather extensive data during the test. The primary objective was to evaluate the missile’s behaviour and ensure safe separation from the helicopter in the presence of aerodynamic disturbances.
This successful test follows the first long-range firing conducted a few weeks earlier. The achievement represents a major step forward for the MAST-F programme, which is managed by OCCAR (Organisation for Joint Armament Co-operation) on behalf of France.
The test was made possible through the close collaboration of key stakeholders, including MBDA, its subcontractors, DGA test centres, and OCCAR.
