Following this decision, the NATO Helicopter Management Agency (NAHEMA) signed a procurement contract with NHIndustries, a joint venture of Airbus Helicopters, Leonardo, and Fokker.
In addition, NAHEMA and NHIndustries signed an amended development contract for the NH90 TTH to meet the evolving demands of the French Special Operations Forces.
According to the DGA, all eight new NH90 helicopters are expected to be delivered between 2027 and 2029. The value of this procurement is EUR 305 million.
Previously, in 2020, France ordered 10 NH90 TTH helicopters for its SOF.
