The move reflects the growing role of unmanned systems across air, land and maritime operations. Exosens said defence customers increasingly require equipment that can be deployed quickly, produced at scale and integrated into new platforms.
The company’s thermal cameras are optimised for size, weight and power requirements. They support detection, identification, tracking and targeting functions when integrated into drone payloads and counter-drone systems.
Exosens works with defence original equipment manufacturers and autonomous systems developers during the design-in stage. The company said its supply chain and scalable manufacturing capacity can support faster integration and shorter time-to-market.

The production increase builds on an earlier Exosens decision to double capacity for cooled infrared cameras. Those systems are dedicated to long-range surveillance and counter-drone applications.
The two capacity expansions broaden Exosens’ industrial base across different imaging requirements for modern defence systems. The company is positioning its thermal imaging portfolio around growing demand from autonomous and counter-autonomous platforms.
Exosens develops and manufactures technologies covering amplification, detection and imaging. Its portfolio includes advanced cameras, neutron and gamma detectors, instrument detectors and light intensifier tubes.
The company operates 13 production and research and development sites across Europe and North America. It employs more than 2,000 people and is listed on the Euronext Paris regulated market under the ticker EXENS.
