SitaWare Edge will be implemented in the ‘Portable’ variant of MESBw, complementing the already proven ‘Command Post’ (SitaWare Headquarters) and ‘Mounted’ (SitaWare Frontline). This integration enables seamless digital command-and-control from static or deployable command posts, through vehicle-based systems, to dismounted forces, ensuring complete situational awareness.
The agreement also includes Software Development Kits (SDKs), creating the foundation for an open C4ISR ecosystem. This framework supports third-party integrations to meet the Bundeswehr’s specific operational requirements.
“We are proud that the Bundeswehr continues to rely on Systematic as a trusted partner in their ongoing digital transformation. The introduction of SitaWare Edge is another important step, delivering our software capabilities to the very frontline,” said Sven Trusch, Managing Director of Systematic’s German subsidiary.
SitaWare Edge enhances command at the tactical level by giving commanders comprehensive situational awareness and mission management tools, allowing them to focus on operations. Its proven communications protocols ensure vital battlefield information is shared seamlessly, improving operational tempo and safety while advanced mapping and planning functions shorten the decision cycle.
The SitaWare Suite is an operationally proven C4ISR solution that delivers interoperability, collaborative planning and situational awareness across the battlespace.
