The contract will be fulfilled from GKN Aerospace’s newly opened 150,000-square-foot facility in San Diego, California. This state-of-the-art site features advanced automation and robotics to improve efficiency, boost reliability, and shorten turnaround times for critical engine components.
With over 15 years of experience in PW2000 fan blade repairs, GKN Aerospace will offer high-quality solutions for this vital military platform. The San Diego facility is designed to handle up to 80,000 fan blade repairs annually, serving more than 400 global customers.
