Based in Andover, Gray will lead GM Defense UK’s engagement with the Ministry of Defence, the British Armed Forces and industry partners. He will also support the company’s wider NATO and European activities, including delivery planning and through-life support for Team LionStrike.
The consortium brings together GM Defense, BAE Systems and NP Aerospace to compete for the programme to modernise the British Army’s light mobility fleet. GM Defense will serve as the original equipment manufacturer and engineering authority, contributing commercial vehicle platforms, global engineering and manufacturing capacity, and an international parts and service network.

Gray has nearly 20 years of UK defence leadership experience, specialising in procurement, rapid acquisition and programme delivery. He has managed multimillion-pound projects covering mobility platforms, military vehicle integration and uncrewed ground systems.
His experience includes translating operational requirements into deliverable solutions and advising senior military leaders and international stakeholders. GM Defense said the appointment would help the company pursue practical and scalable mobility capabilities for the British Armed Forces.
