South Korean defence industry company Hanwha Aerospace has opened an office in Warsaw. From now on, the company will operate in the European market under the name Hanwha Aerospace Europe. The establishment of the European branch is an important factor in Hanwha’s development in the European market, the company said in a press release.
“The launch of office will enable even better cooperation and service for our largest client in Europe – the Polish Ministry of National Defence. Poland is our key partner among NATO countries, so locating our office in Warsaw was a natural choice. We believe that this will enhance our dialogue with both the Polish government and the Polish defence industry,” emphasizes Billy Boo Hwan Lee, Managing Director of Hanwha Aerospace Europe.
“As a leading manufacturer of advanced weapon systems, including artillery rocket systems, precision-guided missiles, and naval and aviation systems, Hanwha Aerospace offers its customers increasingly advanced products that meet the challenges of modern warfare,” stated Hanwha Aerospace Europe in a press statement.
Hanwha Aerospace Europe is involved in major modernization programmess of the Polish land forces. The company is delivering K9 Thunder self-propelled howitzers and K239 Chunmoo MLRS systems to the Polish Armed Forces.
Furthermore, Hanwha Aerospace Europe is currently strengthening its presence in Europe. The company offers its K9 Thunder howitzer to the Romanian land forces, along with a comprehensive industry cooperation package.
