The follow-on award extends Leidos’ role in detecting and defending against cyber threats for the United States and its allies. Work will continue 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
“Resilience is the real measure of cyber defense,” said Steve Hull, president of Leidos Digital. “Our job is to help protect our nation’s cyber terrain by anticipating increasingly sophisticated threats, responding with speed and keeping critical missions moving.”
Hull added: “That means equipping our experts with AI-enabled capabilities for stronger cyber resilience, better situational awareness and faster, more coordinated responses that help mission leaders stay ahead of adversaries.” The approach is intended to give military decision-makers a clearer view of emerging threats and support faster defensive action.
Leidos combines cyber operations with engineering and technology development under the program. The company said this model has reduced the time between detecting a threat and responding to it.
AI-enabled tools are used to support situational awareness, resilience and coordinated response across the network. The contract also aligns with Leidos’ NorthStar 2030 strategy, including its focus on digital transformation and defensive cyber capabilities.
