The Carl-Gustaf M4 simulators take training as close to live firing as possible. As the OEM, Saab’s highly accurate replicas provide the same form, fit and function as the live weapon. A detailed ballistics table and temperature index replicate the behaviour and trajectories of live ammunition: this trains the correct use of sights, lead angle and point of aim for the different ammunition, supporting the British Army’s drive to increase lethality.

Lithuania has introduced Carl-Gustaf M4 multi-purpose weapon systems into service with the Lithuanian Armed Forces, strengthening national defensive capabilities. The reusable 84 mm Carl-Gustaf M4 RD systems support the modernisation of infantry capabilities and enhance the ability of units to operate effectively in a wide range of combat scenarios.

The Carl-Gustaf is effective against armoured targets and personnel, and the latest M4 RD version is shorter and lighter than previous models, making it easier and less complicated to use.

According to Saab’s official information, the Carl-Gustaf M4 is a man-portable, multi-role weapon system that offers high tactical flexibility through a wide range of ammunition types and is designed to support soldiers in diverse operational environments.

The system is suitable for supporting unit manoeuvres or engaging armoured vehicles, and it has been battle-tested and proven highly effective. Saab states that “Proven to deliver results on the battlefield, Carl-Gustaf provides the effectiveness soldiers need,” highlighting its operational performance.

“The wide range of ammunition types for Carl-Gustaf makes it flexible and able to handle any situation, whether it is to destroy an armoured vehicle or structure, or illuminating the battlefield during night operations,” Saab adds. The Carl-Gustaf system is supplied to more than 40 countries worldwide, underlining its established role in modern armed forces.
