Marduk Technologies demonstrates SHARK C-UAS solution at military trials on Gotland, Sweden

By Defence Industry Europe

Estonian defence company Marduk Technologies has successfully demonstrated its SHARK system at the GUTE Counter-Unmanned Aerial Systems (C-UAS) trials on Gotland, Sweden. The event was organised by the Swedish Defence Materiel Administration (FMV) and the Swedish Armed Forces to evaluate modular solutions for drone defence under operational conditions.

During the trials, SHARK was fully integrated into the sensor-effector chain, enabling real-time passive detection, classification, and high-precision targeting of aerial threats. The system operated in coordination with other integrated technologies to showcase its effectiveness in live scenarios.

Marduk Technologies collaborated for several months with FMV, Swedish industry partners, and end-user representatives to prepare for the event. These efforts focused on ensuring smooth integration and operational readiness of the SHARK system as part of the GUTE project.

“At Marduk Technologies we are proud to see SHARK performing alongside world-class systems in one of Europe’s most advanced C-UAS solutions,” said Leet Rauno Lember, COO at Marduk Technologies. “This demonstration is a testament to the strength of our partnerships and a proof of how passive electro-optical targeting strengthens a layered defense against complex aerial threats.”

The GUTE project highlights Sweden’s focus on deploying flexible, mobile, and rapidly deployable counter-drone technologies. It also underscores growing European cooperation in strengthening airspace defence capabilities.
