The Falcon IV radios are designed to work immediately with more than one million tactical devices already in use worldwide. These next-generation systems will support real-time information sharing in joint operations, increasing readiness and resilience across the Dutch Armed Forces.
“Our battle-proven communication systems will improve secure military communications by facilitating interoperability with other European and NATO forces to address current and future threats,” said Sam Mehta, President of Communication Systems at L3Harris. “These resilient devices will enable enhanced capability to strengthen homeland defenses, deter regional conflicts and provide direct support to coalition and security cooperation efforts.”
L3Harris has also committed to long-term engagement with the Dutch defence sector through its local branch, L3Harris Technologies Netherlands B.V. The company is investing in local technology partnerships, establishing maintenance and support infrastructure, and creating opportunities to recruit and train Dutch professionals.
This agreement reflects a broader effort by the Netherlands to modernise its defence communication capabilities in line with NATO standards. By partnering with L3Harris, the country positions itself to meet evolving security challenges with advanced, interoperable solutions.
