As the French Ministry of the Armed Forces announced on social media, one of these contracts stipulates that Nexter Systems (a company within KNDS) will supply an additional six 155mm CAESAR artillery systems to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
This marks the third batch of CAESAR howitzers to be delivered to the Ukrainian army. The initial batch, comprising 18 guns, was provided to Ukraine directly from the resources of the French Armed Forces. The second batch of 12 howitzers was transferred to the Armed Forces of Ukraine by Nexter.
Furthermore, a separate agreement ensures that Nexter will provide maintenance and repair services for the CAESAR howitzers and AMX-10 RC vehicles within the territory of Ukraine.
