Built on Oshkosh’s heavy tactical truck architecture, the Common Bridge Transporter is designed to support mobility when terrain and threat conditions complicate movement. The vehicle is engineered to transport, launch and retrieve bridge bays and bridge erection boats, enabling manoeuvre forces to cross wet gaps and sustain operational momentum.
“Soldiers need mobility they can count on, especially when formations must stay supplied and moving during conflict,” said Pat Williams, Chief Programs Officer for Oshkosh Defense. “The Common Bridge Transporter reflects the performance and reliability that define Oshkosh heavy tactical vehicles.”
“We’re honored to continue supporting the U.S. Army with proven systems designed to perform in demanding, contested logistic environments,” Williams added. The company said the order reflects the ongoing need for reliable mobility as forces operate under observation or threat.
The contract strengthens the U.S. Army’s ability to maintain freedom of movement in complex, high-risk environments. Oshkosh Defense stated that current conflicts continue to underline the importance of dependable mobility solutions for modern military operations.
