A Czech consortium led by PBS Group has made significant progress in its joint project with Lockheed Martin, aimed at developing and qualifying advanced manufacturing processes for F‑35 components. A recent visit to Fort Worth marked a key milestone, where the consortium presented its latest outcomes and reviewed future steps with Lockheed Martin’s technical leadership.

The project, which began in September 2024 following preparatory technical collaboration, is advancing in structured phases supported by strategic investment in infrastructure and expertise. A formal agreement between the parties was signed in May 2024.

“This visit marks an important milestone in the multi‑phase project focused on the development and qualification of advanced manufacturing processes for selected F‑35 components,” the consortium stated. The project highlights the strength of Czech industry in global defence supply chains, particularly in additive manufacturing, surface treatment, and high‑temperature materials processing.

“The collaboration remains on schedule and continues to demonstrate the capability of Czech industry to contribute to global defence supply chains through advanced technologies,” the consortium added. The Fort Worth visit also underscores the deepening partnership and joint commitment to innovation in defence production.

PBS Group confirmed its long‑term dedication to the initiative, stating: “PBS GROUP is proud to be part of this long‑term effort.”
