The expansion will create at least 95 new jobs, strengthening PBS Aerospace’s presence in the region. Georgia Governor Brian P. Kemp welcomed the decision, highlighting the state’s robust aerospace sector and commitment to economic growth.
PBS Aerospace has been operating in the U.S. market for over a decade, with Atlanta serving as a key base for its business activities. Tomas Koutsky, Managing Director of PBS Aerospace, stated that the company chose Georgia due to its strong infrastructure, skilled workforce, and favourable business environment.
The Roswell facility will produce advanced small turbojet engines designed to meet the needs of the U.S. Department of Defense. CEO Erin Durham emphasised that the move aligns with the company’s broader strategy to collaborate with Georgia’s aerospace and defence industries.
The new headquarters will be located at 1350 North Meadow and will include a new facility at Tech Village North Site. Recruitment for available positions is currently underway, with full operations expected to commence by April 2025.
Roswell Mayor Kurt Wilson expressed enthusiasm about the investment, stating that the city provides an ideal setting for innovative businesses. Local officials, including Fulton County Chairman Robb Pitts, also acknowledged the economic benefits and job creation opportunities brought by PBS Aerospace’s expansion.
Metro Atlanta Chamber President & CEO Katie Kirkpatrick noted that the aerospace industry is a major economic driver for Georgia, with exports worth $57.5 billion. She highlighted that the presence of PBS Aerospace would further enhance the state’s position in global aerospace and defence markets.
The project was supported by the Georgia Department of Economic Development (GDEcD) in collaboration with local partners. GDEcD Commissioner Pat Wilson praised PBS Aerospace for choosing Georgia as its base, recognising the state’s investment in fostering business relationships and technological innovation.
