The review served as a key milestone to verify progress in the prototype’s software development, its integration with flight-representative hardware, and other self-protection subsystems. It also confirmed that the system is consistent with government reference architecture.
“Our ADVEW prototype continues to showcase significant progress in both hardware and software that will improve the aircraft’s ability to detect and counter electronic threats,” said Daniel Theisen, president of Advanced Products & Solutions at Raytheon. “We are on track with our fast-paced schedule and will continue developing the system to meet all necessary requirements on the U.S. Navy’s accelerated fielding timeline.”
Alongside the review, Raytheon has completed a Test Plan Working Group to ensure in-flight performance of ADVEW is effectively coordinated and streamlined. The company plans to carry out additional demonstrations and deliver shipsets for government integration testing in the coming months.
