Raytheon secures order for M928 Excalibur artillery projectiles

Raytheon, a business of the technology company RTX, has signed a contract for an unspecified number of M982 Excalibur artillery ammunition. The projectiles will be delivered to the U.S. Army by the end of April 2024.

According to a statement by the Pentagon, the contract is valued at USD 276.5 million.

 

 

M928 Excalibur is a 155mm guided artillery ammunition with a range of up to 57km. The ammunition has been jointly developed by Raytheon and BAE Systems.

According to open sources, the United States has so far transferred over guided artillery projectiles from the U.S. Army stocks to Ukraine.
