The MTR will serve as a full-scale replica of the NH90 helicopter, specifically engineered for comprehensive maintenance training. REISER plans to replicate nearly all components of the NH90, providing a highly realistic and functional training platform capable of covering over 1,000 standard and specialised procedures.
These procedures include critical tasks such as engine replacement and emergency folding of the main rotor blades. The advanced system aims to enhance training efficiency while reducing the reliance on operational aircraft, ensuring these remain available for active service.
REISER’s expertise in MTR development is well-established, having delivered multiple systems to armed forces worldwide. Since 2010, four MTRs have been supplied to Germany and two to France, with additional units provided to the German Air Mobility Training and Exercise Centre, the German Navy, and the Australian Defence Force.
This new project commenced on 7 November 2024 and is scheduled for completion within two years. The initiative underscores the growing global demand for innovative, cost-effective, and sustainable training solutions in the defence sector.
Dr. Johannes Hain, CEO of REISER, commented on the achievement: “This contract reflects the customer’s continued trust and satisfaction in our innovative MTR approach. With each new project, REISER reaffirms the commitment to delivering high-quality training solutions tailored to the evolving needs of military operators worldwide.”
