One of the key highlights is the Lynx KF41 infantry fighting vehicle, equipped with the MK30-2/ABM main weapon and the Main Sensor Slaved Armament (MSSA) weapon station. The vehicle on display comes from Hungarian series production and also serves as the foundation for the new Italian infantry fighting vehicle being developed in cooperation with Leonardo.
Rheinmetall’s HX 6×6 logistics vehicle, featuring a protected cab, is also being exhibited and is noted for its off-road mobility, versatility and optional protection systems. These capabilities make the vehicle suitable for both logistical and tactical military operations.
In the area of air defence, Rheinmetall is showcasing the Skyranger 35 turret, a mobile, modular, and scalable solution that can be integrated on various platforms. This system reflects the increasing relevance of ground-based air defence for NATO and European armed forces.
The company is also displaying the Squad Support Weapon SSW40, the world’s first automatic, magazine-loaded, shoulder-fired grenade launcher for 40mm ammunition. Rheinmetall notes that the system’s weight, dimensions and handling are similar to those of an assault rifle, offering enhanced firepower at the squad level.
Digital soldier systems are another focus, with Rheinmetall demonstrating its Gladius 2.0 system based on Android BMS in multiple configurations. These systems integrate individual soldiers into a fully networked command environment through digitalisation.
Proven laser and laser light modules such as the VarioRay, the PTAL for pistols, and the VTAL for special forces are also featured at the company’s stand. These systems support target acquisition and engagement in diverse operational scenarios.
Rheinmetall is presenting Bullfighter, a new-generation 130mm naval decoy effective against radar and infrared-guided threats. The company confirms Bullfighter has been successfully tested against advanced counter-countermeasures and is in service with 14 NATO and non-NATO partner nations.
Additional exhibits include Rheinmetall’s wide ammunition portfolio covering calibres such as 155mm, 120mm, 40mm, 35mm and 30mm, as well as specialised munitions like the Piovra combat swimmer mine and MK82 aircraft bombs. The Acoustic Platform for Vehicles (APV) sensor system and the Saphir thermal imaging device, used in Marder and Leopard 2 vehicles, are also on display.
The DEFEA presentation is completed by airborne uncrewed systems including the LUNA NG VTOL and FV-002 fixed-wing reconnaissance drones. These systems demonstrate Rheinmetall’s capabilities in supporting modern battlefield intelligence and surveillance operations.
