Rohde & Schwarz and ELT Group have partnered to deliver advanced electronic warfare (EW) systems for European naval forces. The collaboration aims to enhance situational awareness and self-protection for the German and Polish navies.

Rohde & Schwarz has been commissioned to supply and integrate communication and radar electronic support measures (C-ESM/R-ESM) and radar countermeasures (R-ECM) from its R&S KORA family. These systems will be installed on three F124 Sachsen-class frigates and three Miecznick multi-role frigates, improving early warning capabilities and defensive measures.

As part of this initiative, ELT Group will provide its latest solutions for radar electronic support measures (R-ESM) and radar electronic countermeasures (R-ECM). This partnership builds upon the companies’ previous cooperation on the F126 frigate project, reinforcing European defence collaboration.

Alexander Philipp, Managing Director of Rohde & Schwarz Vertriebs-GmbH, highlighted the continued successful partnership between the two firms. He emphasised that ELT Group’s contributions significantly enhance the R&S KORA system, marking an important step in German-Italian defence cooperation.

ELT Group CEO & COO Domitilla Benigni expressed satisfaction with the contract signing and the opportunity to strengthen their European market presence. She reaffirmed ELT Group’s commitment to working closely with Rohde & Schwarz to ensure the project’s successful execution.

The agreement represents a key milestone in naval electronic warfare, reinforcing Europe’s ability to defend against evolving threats. With a focus on innovation and cooperation, Rohde & Schwarz and ELT Group are poised to deliver cutting-edge solutions for modern naval operations.
