Swedish defence company Saab has received an order from BAE Systems Hägglunds for its Universal Tank and Anti-Aircraft System (UTAAS). The contract, valued at approximately SEK 700 million, will provide sighting and fire control systems for the Combat Vehicle 90 (CV90).

BAE Systems Hägglunds, based in Örnsköldsvik, Sweden, develops and manufactures the CV90, an advanced combat vehicle used by several armed forces worldwide. Saab’s UTAAS system is designed specifically for the CV90, enhancing its targeting and fire control capabilities for both ground and aerial threats.

Carl-Johan Bergholm, Head of Business Area Surveillance at Saab, highlighted the long-standing collaboration between Saab and BAE Systems Hägglunds. He noted that growing international demand for the CV90 has led Saab to increase its production capacity to meet the needs of armed forces globally.
