Saab, Inc. has reaffirmed its partnership with the U.S. Air Force by supporting pilot training through the T-7A Red Hawk programme. In collaboration with Boeing, Saab is helping deliver this next-generation training system designed to prepare future fighter and bomber pilots.

The T-7A combines advanced avionics and embedded training systems in a single platform, supporting the training of over 1,000 pilots annually. Approximately 350 T-7A Red Hawk aircraft are expected to be delivered to the U.S. Air Force in the years ahead.

Saab produces the aft fuselage of the aircraft at its high-tech manufacturing facility in West Lafayette, Indiana, which opened in 2021. This domestic site reinforces the U.S. defence industrial base and provides high-quality jobs for American workers.

Among Saab’s workforce are U.S. Air Force veterans who continue their service through defence manufacturing. “As a veteran of the Air Force, it’s important for me to support the next generation of U.S. armed forces. Working at Saab and on the T-7A Red Hawk program, I feel a great sense of purpose. This work matters. It’s ensuring that our Air Force has the best possible training, so that at the end of the day, we have a greater chance of mission success, of keeping America secure, and of our soldiers coming home safe and sound at the end of the day,” said Judah K., who works in manufacturing at Saab, Inc.

Saab stated its pride in contributing to the U.S. Air Force’s mission to maintain air dominance. The company remains committed to delivering innovative solutions that will support U.S. forces for years to come.
