The Bundeswehr's procurement office, BAAINBw, has chosen Safran Electronics & Defense Germany to supply the German armed forces with cutting-edge portable infrared observation binoculars. This selection marks a significant step in enhancing the operational capabilities of the German infantry.

The newly selected binoculars are designed to meet a wide range of operational needs, enabling day and night observation and target acquisition under diverse conditions. Their advanced technology allows for effective use even in GNSS-denied environments and adverse weather, providing German forces with enhanced versatility and reliability.

Safran Electronics & Defense Germany, headquartered in Murr, Baden-Württemberg, will oversee the integration and maintenance of these systems. Acting as the primary contact for the German armed forces, the company will coordinate with users and key logistics centres to ensure seamless operational support.

Marzell Schiller, CEO of Safran Electronics & Defense Germany, expressed gratitude for the Bundeswehr’s trust in their technology. “We are proud to offer our innovations in night vision and observation to support the German armed forces,” he stated.
