Defense ministries are using the company’s technology to modernize national satellite communications infrastructure. The programs will expand sovereign networks for naval, tactical and fixed operations.
Two Southeast Asian defense ministries selected ST Engineering iDirect for separate communications programs. The awards cover naval connectivity, protected mobility and fixed-site communications.
One ministry is reinforcing the communications backbone used by its naval forces. The network will support real-time situational awareness and coordinated command operations.
The naval system will include automatic beam switching and OpenAMIP antenna interoperability. It will also provide spread-spectrum capabilities and TRANSEC-enabled security.
The second Southeast Asian ministry is modernizing protected mobile and fixed communications. Its system will combine defense-grade security, multilayer resilience and global network management.
Rapidly deployable terminals will support operations across tactical and fixed locations. The terminals feature low size, weight and power requirements.
In Europe, ST Engineering iDirect is supporting three separate defense programs. The projects cover infrastructure modernization, tactical mobility and protected maritime communications.
A Western European defense ministry will deploy TRANSEC security and flexible network configurations. The system will also provide WGS-certified interoperability for coalition operations.
The program includes resilient voice and command-and-control communications across dispersed sites. Its network architecture will support mission continuity during distributed operations.
A Central European defense force will use automatic beam switching and interference-mitigating spread-spectrum technology. Rugged, military-standard hardware will support both tactical and fixed communications.
The system is intended to improve intelligence gathering and situational awareness. It will also support operational decision-making across military domains.
A European aerospace and defense company selected the technology for a naval program. The system will integrate OpenAMIP antennas, beam switching and multilayer security.
