This milestone marks a significant expansion for Clavister, whose tactical security solutions have previously been deployed successfully in land-based military operations. The Clavister CyberArmour product family, already integrated into platforms such as BAE Systems’ CV90 infantry fighting vehicle, will now address the unique challenges of naval systems.
Modern naval operations rely on a complex network of interconnected systems, including telecommunications, combat systems, and command and control. Ensuring the integrity and availability of these systems is critical, as cyberattacks can compromise anything from individual subsystems to entire fleets.
Clavister’s solutions are tailored to the specific challenges of military Information Technology (IT) and Operational Technology (OT) systems in the naval domain. These include limited bandwidth, ageing platforms, and the need for robust cybersecurity in isolated environments with minimal on-board expertise.
The multi-year project will leverage Clavister’s expertise in cybersecurity and military deployments to detect and respond to cyber threats effectively. The company’s technology aims to ensure operational resilience and safeguard critical missions at sea.
John Vestberg, CEO of Clavister, expressed his pride in the appointment: “We are honoured to be appointed as cybersecurity vendor to this renowned Nordic defence company. Entering into the naval domain with our tactical security solutions is an important step for us on our mission to cyber-secure Europe.”
