Baltops 23: NATO ships participate in exercise in the Baltic Sea

Nineteen NATO Allies, one NATO partner nation, 50 ships, more than 45 aircraft, and approximately 6,000 personnel kicked off the 52nd iteration of Baltic Operations (Baltops 23).
The Swedish Navy’s HMS Uppland, a Gotland-class submarine, is participating in the Baltops 23 exercise.
Finnish Navy’s Coastal Fleet participates in the exercise Baltops 23 in the Baltic Sea. The exercise is led by the Commander of the US Navy’s 6th Fleet.
This year’s largest naval exercise in the Baltic Sea, Baltops 23, will begin on Saturday in Tallinn.
