Japan has chosen the Beechcraft T-6 Texan II Integrated Training System (ITS) to modernise pilot training for the Japan Air Self-Defense Force (JASDF). The aircraft, produced by Textron Aviation Defense LLC, will replace the ageing Fuji/Subaru T-7, which has served as Japan’s primary basic trainer for many years.
