German defence technology companies Quantum Systems and blackned have announced a strategic partnership to advance the digitalisation and secure networking of unmanned systems in military operations.

Rheinmetall Electronics GmbH, a subsidiary of the German defence contractor Rheinmetall, has expanded its stake in blackned GmbH, a leading Bavarian software developer specialising in military digitalisation. By acquiring an additional 11% of blackned shares, Rheinmetall now controls 51% of the company, making it the majority shareholder.
