In 2024, EUMAM UA (European Union Military Assistance Mission Ukraine), the EU training mission, is starting the new year by training members of the Ukrainian armed forces to drive tracked vehicles. As a basis for their advanced armoured infantry training, Ukrainian military personnel have been learning since early January to drive the Marder armoured infantry fighting vehicle (AIFV), with which they will later also be deployed on the front.
