General Dynamics Mission Systems achieves breakthrough with PhantomLink free space optics system

General Dynamics Mission Systems has successfully demonstrated a 52-kilometre communication link using its PhantomLink free space optics (FSO) system at Fort Huachuca, Arizona.

General Dynamics Mission Systems (GDMS) has been awarded a substantial contract by the U.S. Navy valued at up to $808.6 million. The agreement encompasses the production of MK 54 MOD 1 Lightweight Torpedo Kits, alongside associated test equipment, spares, provisioned items, and engineering and hardware support.
