Austria selects Leonardo M-346FA jets to replace retired Saab 105 fleet and strengthen air force

The Austrian Ministry of Defence has confirmed plans to acquire 12 Leonardo M-346FA jets, marking a significant step in modernising the nation’s air force and addressing a critical capability gap.

On May 27, Nigeria officially confirmed the acquisition of 24 Leonardo M-346FA light attack aircraft. The size of the order indicates the intention to equip two squadrons with these aircraft.
