U.S. Army enhances firepower in Europe with upgraded M270A2 systems

The U.S. Army awarded Lockheed Martin a USD 451 million contract to recapitalize additional M270 systems expanding its domestic fleet of launchers and providing upgrades for global partners.
The total of the Finnish Army MLRS fleet (41 launchers) will be upgraded to the new version of M270A2. The upgrade will improve the MLRS frame, gun mounts and fire control and battle management system.
Finland has received the green light from the United States State Department to sign a contract for the modernization M270 Multiple Launch Rocket Systems to the M270A2 standard.
Norway has made the decision to donate eight M270 MLRS systems and three Arthur counter-battery radars to Ukraine.
