While in Europe, the bomber aircrews will take part in a series of Ally-led training missions in complex, high-threat airspace. These will focus on the find, fix, track and target process, improving the speed and accuracy with which bombers and fighters respond to threats in real time.
The training will also involve countering simulated ground and air-based threats designed to restrict freedom of manoeuvre. Aircrews will be required to act decisively to overcome these challenges and gain air superiority.
“This deployment allows us to train the way we fight — integrated with our NATO Allies, ready and adaptive,” said Lt. Col. Eric Alvarez, 345th Bomb Squadron deployed commander. “It’s about building experience and trust together, enhancing readiness, and staying sharp in dynamic environments.”
This marks the fifth Bomber Task Force Europe deployment in 2025. The U.S. Air Force said it reflects a continued commitment to maintaining a ready and capable forward presence in the region.
