U.S. Air Force B-52 Stratofortress bombers arrive in Guam for Indo-Pacific deployment

By Defence Industry Europe

A Bomber Task Force (BTF) deployment of multiple U.S. Air Force B-52 Stratofortress aircraft, Airmen, and support equipment from the 23rd Expeditionary Bomb Squadron, Minot Air Force Base, North Dakota, arrived at Andersen Air Force Base, Guam on 8 July 2025. The deployment supports Pacific Air Forces’ ongoing training with Allies, partners, and joint forces across the Indo-Pacific region.

The BTF missions are designed to enhance strategic deterrence and uphold the rules-based international order in the region. By operating from a diverse set of overseas and continental U.S. locations, the missions also improve operational resilience for strategic bomber operations.

This latest deployment includes participation in regional joint events, integrating advanced U.S. Air Force capabilities. The Air Force stated the initiative demonstrates how it “uses cutting-edge capabilities to integrate with other Department of Defense components, our Allies and partners in delivering air power worldwide.”
