The ENVG-B system equips soldiers with advanced fused night-vision technology, enabling them to identify and engage targets in low-light conditions ahead of adversaries. According to Sam Mehta, President of Communication Systems at L3Harris, the goggles also serve as a communication hub or sensor, enhancing situational awareness and integration with the Army’s broader Integrated Tactical Network.
Senator Jeanne Shaheen of New Hampshire highlighted the programme’s importance to national security and its economic impact on the state. She commended the L3Harris workforce in Londonderry for their contribution to producing cutting-edge technology for U.S. warfighters.
L3Harris has delivered over 18,000 ENVG-B systems to the Army, offering industry-leading Figure of Merit levels and digital overlays that improve performance. The company plans to continue investing in night-vision technology, artificial intelligence, and open-system architecture to expand the capabilities of the thousands of systems deployed.
In addition to the ENVG-B programme, L3Harris has provided more than 28,000 advanced vision goggles globally, including its Binocular Night Vision Device – Fused solution. These efforts demonstrate the company’s ongoing commitment to delivering resilient and innovative technologies for the modern battlefield.
