U.S. Army Europe and Africa leaders discussed unmanned aircraft, electronic warfare and battlefield data at AUSA 2026 in Washington on October 12–14. The discussions drew on operational challenges in Europe to identify capability requirements and strengthen readiness.
Commanders also examined requirements for large-scale combat and multi-domain operations. They exchanged lessons learned and stressed the need to integrate U.S. forces with allies and partners.
“AUSA gave us the opportunity to bring Europe’s operational challenges directly to Army leaders and industry partners, helping shape solutions that strengthen deterrence and give our Soldiers and Allies the capabilities they need to win,” said Brig. Gen. Steven Carpenter, commanding general of Multi-Domain Command Europe. His command joined three other formations in presenting operational perspectives at the Association of the United States Army’s annual meeting.
V Corps, Multi-Domain Command Europe, 7th Army Training Command and 10th Army Air and Missile Defense Command delivered six presentations during the October 12–14 event in Washington. The Army said the exchanges helped identify capability requirements and reinforced the importance of integrated operations with allied and partner forces.
The discussions will continue at LANDEURO 2026 in Wiesbaden, Germany, on December 3–4. Hosted by AUSA in partnership with U.S. Army Europe and Africa, the event will bring military, industry and government representatives together to turn shared priorities into fielded solutions.
