U.S. Cyber Command has selected Leidos for a five-year, $160 million award to support offensive and defensive military cyber operations. The work includes helping secure, operate and defend the Department of War Information Network.

Leidos will provide operational planning, cyber defense and analysis of emerging threats. It will also help develop tactics, techniques and procedures, supporting Cyber Command’s coordination of operations across mission partners.

“Cyberspace operations demand speed, deep technical expertise and an understanding of how adversaries operate,” said Jason O’Connor, president of Leidos Intelligence. He said the company would bring together capabilities from across its cyber business, including recently acquired Kudu Dynamics.

“Our team, comprised of the full-suite of Leidos cyber including the recently acquired Kudu Dynamics, will bring those capabilities together to support U.S. Cyber Command’s mission,” O’Connor said. “We’re focused on ensuring our nation’s cyber forces are prepared to operate in an increasingly contested environment.”

The award covers both operational support for military networks and planning for the command’s broader cyber activities. Leidos said its work would help synchronize those operations across the Department of War and respond to changing threats.

The company identifies cyber as a key growth driver under its NorthStar 2030 strategy. It said the award advances that strategy as cyber operations take a greater role in military competition and warfare across domains.
