UAE Navy contracts Exail to provide unmanned integrated mine countermeasures system

The UAE Navy has awarded a contract to Exail, a French company renowned in robotics and maritime systems, to deliver the UMIS 3rd generation unmanned Mine Countermeasures system. This advanced technology aims to strengthen the UAE Navy's capability for remote mine clearance, addressing crucial security needs in regional waters.

 

Exail’s Maritime Business Line CEO, Jérôme Bendell, expressed his pride in being chosen amidst “very tough international competition.” Bendell stated, “We are proud to have been selected by the UAE Navy… This will enhance their capabilities at sea and meet their needs and efforts in the field of mine clearance.”

 

 

The agreement also reflects the strengthening of a longstanding relationship, as Exail has been working with the UAE Navy since 2004. With this latest contract, Exail reinforces its commitment to supporting the UAE’s maritime security and fostering its collaboration with a valued client in the region.
