Rheinmetall and Lockheed Martin presented the world premiere of the Fuchs JAGM on 9 September 2025. The highly mobile combat vehicle is designed to counter a wide range of ground and air threats.

The Fuchs JAGM is the first vehicle worldwide equipped with 24 vertically launched AGM-179 Joint Air-to-Ground Missiles (JAGM) or AGM-114L HELLFIRE Longbow guided missiles from Lockheed Martin. With its advanced sensor package, it can detect and engage up to 24 battle tanks or air targets in rapid succession without reloading.

JAGM is a multi-sensor missile suitable for both ground-to-ground and ground-to-air applications. It has a range of up to 16 kilometres and features a tandem shaped charge fragmentation warhead, while its multimode seeker combines semi-active laser and millimetre wave radar for precision and fire-and-forget capability in all weather.

The Fuchs Evolution, Rheinmetall’s latest version of its 6×6 armoured transport vehicle, serves as the carrier for the system. The platform offers enhanced protection, a modern digital architecture, improved powertrain, integrated diagnostics, and an enlarged interior for greater operational comfort.

Dr Björn Bernhard, Head of the Vehicle Systems Division, said: „This partnership is proof of our commitment to advancing international cooperation and delivering innovative solutions that meet the changing requirements of our global customers. By combining the Fuchs, which has proven itself in service from the North Cape to the deserts of the Middle East, with the precision of the JAGM and HELLFIRE, we are setting a new standard for modern guided missile systems on the battlefield. We look forward to continuing our collaboration with Lockheed Martin and identifying new opportunities to drive growth and innovation in the global defence industry.“
