Excalibur Army and KNDS Deutschland signed a memorandum of understanding to establish long-term cooperation in the maintenance, repair and modernisation of Leopard 2A8 main battle tanks operated by the Army of the Czech Republic. The memorandum is intended to provide a framework for effective support of the operation and lifecycle of this equipment within the Czech Republic.

The agreement follows the long-standing and successful collaboration of the CSG Group with the French and German branches of KNDS. In the Czech Republic, CSG ensures domestic industry participation in the Caesar howitzer project, produced by KNDS France, where Tatra Trucks provides the chassis, Tatra Defence the cabins, and Excalibur Army serves as integrator.

Another joint project between CSG and KNDS France is the TITUS armoured vehicle, of which 62 units have already been delivered to the Czech Army, with a further 24 under contract. The memorandum marks another step in strengthening cooperation with the KNDS group, which has seen steady development in recent years.
