The vehicle manufacturer confirmed it has a production backlog that extends through to 2027. “AM General remains committed to meeting our contractual delivery requirements,” the company stated.
AM General said it is currently reviewing the DoD’s announcement to understand its full impact. Despite this, the firm will continue operations at its HUMVEE and JLTV A2 assembly lines and Aftermarket Fulfilment facility.
“Our company remains dedicated to its core purpose of ensuring current and future mission readiness of the Warfighter,” AM General said. The company highlighted its ongoing work in support of the U.S. Armed Forces.
The firm also reflected on its long-standing relationship with the military. “We are extremely proud of our strong partnership with the US Armed Forces which spans over 160 years,” it said.
AM General added it will “continue to support DoD leadership and our Nation’s military.” No changes to current production plans have been announced at this time.
