ASELSAN, Turkey's leading defence company, has officially opened a new regional office in Skopje, North Macedonia, as part of its ongoing global expansion strategy. The new office aims to strengthen ASELSAN's service to its partners in the Balkans, enhancing customer satisfaction and post-sales support across the region.

The opening ceremony was attended by Prof. Dr. Haluk Görgün, Secretary of Defence Industries of Turkey, and Ahmet Akyol, ASELSAN’s President and CEO. The Skopje office will serve as a strategic hub, providing ASELSAN with access to both Western and Eastern European markets, and facilitating increased collaboration with regional partners.

ASELSAN has been active in North Macedonia since 2014 and has already supplied products and systems to nearly all Balkan countries. With the new office, ASELSAN aims to increase its customer base and satisfaction levels for both military and civilian solutions, including highway toll collection systems and smart transportation technologies.

Commenting on the new office, Ahmet Akyol said, “This office will serve as a strategic hub for our operations in the Balkans, strengthening collaboration with countries in the region and local partners.” Prof. Dr. Haluk Görgün also highlighted the office’s role in enhancing the strategic partnership between Turkey and North Macedonia, reflecting Turkey’s vision for an independent defence industry.
